Sometimes you just know a meal is going to be great. Before I even stepped foot in the Kittle House of Crabtree’s Kittle House and Inn in Chappaqua, I knew we were in for a terrific dinner.
Chef Jay Lippin is one of the rare chefs who doesn’t just pay lip service to farm-to-table; he’s totally invested in sourcing as much from local farms as he can. Chef Lippin works with 40 to 50 farmers, ranging from Long Island to Binghamton, and there are several raised beds scattered outside the building.
