Every issue I do the same thing—I wait till the last minute to write my Letter. Why, I asked myself, do I do this? It’s simple: there just isn’t enough time!
My husband always wonders why I am late or why I don’t eat or why I have hundreds of emails. I try to explain that working in the publishing field, this is what happens. Publishing isn’t a nine-to-five job, especially when you are the owner and editor-in-chief. No, you make yourself available all the time and sacrifice much to do this. However, let me say all the same that it’s something I love to do.
When someone has a passion and love for the job they do, it makes it so much more worthwhile. Every day I find more strength to run Organic Hudson Valley. Over the past six years since I have taken full custody of my baby, OHV has grown to new heights, and the journey has been incredible.
I am more focused today than ever before, and I strongly believe that OHV will be taken to new levels this year. OHV has been growing organically, slowly, in line with the principles dear to my heart. It truly is a magazine of substance reflecting my values. The magazine is the manifestation of my truth: “Staying true to who you are and the roots of the Hudson Valley.” I am an alchemist of my own life, and I strive to help others be the same. I continually want to inspire those around me to shine.
Each issue, my team works hard to put together the best-quality magazine in the Hudson Valley. I couldn’t accomplish this without them, and for that I am extremely grateful and want to say thank you.
I’ll end with something I often say to my loved ones and friends: “Keep being the best you can be.” We all do the best that we can, and I’d like to think that OHV is the best.
